Who will succeed the redoubtable Suzuki Endurance Racing Team (SERT) as world champion? Who will beat Kawasaki, which has dominated the 24-Hour events since 2010 with four victories on the bounce in the 24 Hours for Motorbikes and two in the Bol d’Or?

These are the major question marks hanging over the new season, which begins this weekend at Magny-Cours.
The quality of the teams entered guarantees a fantastic spectacle in the first round on the Nièvre circuit in both the EWC for the world title and in Superstock for the FIM World Cup.

Suzuki is determined to clinch its 14th world title and Erwan Nigon and Damian Cudlin from BMW have arrived to back up Vincent Philippe and Athony Delhalle.
Grégory Leblanc, Matthieu Lagrive and Nicolas Salchaud will ride the works Kawasaki, which will contest only the Bol d’Or and the 24 Hours for Motorbikes this year.
Among the works squads whose single-minded intention is to take the fight to these top teams is Yamaha with Yamaha Racing GMT 94, runner-up in 2013, in which Mathieu Gines and Lucas Mahias will join David Checa and Kenny Foray. The second works Yamaha (Monster Energy Yamaha YART team) will be on the grid with Igor Jerman plus Wayne Maxwell and Rick Olson from Australia.
Honda is making its comeback with what looks like a very strong line-up consisting of Sébastien Gimbert, Julien da Costa and Freddy Foray.
Talented outsiders are not lacking either among whom the RC2L team, which has entered a Suzuki for Guy Martin, Gwen Giabbani and Gareth Jones, the Bolliger Team Switzerland and its Kawasaki, the Maco Racing Team Yamaha, etc.

The battle for victory in Superstock looks just as open. Winner in the 2013 FIM World Cup Motors Events April Moto Team (Suzuki) has moved up to the EWC leaving the place of favourite to the Penz13.com Franks Autowelt Racing Team’s BMW (Pridmore, Vallcameras, Mackels and van Keymenlen) winners in 2012. This team will have to fight off the return of the QMMF Racing Team (Kawasaki), winner of the FIM World Cup between 2008 and 2010 whose bike is ridden by Alexander Cudlin, Nina Prinz and Mashel Al Naimi.

This year there has been a major change in the attribution of points in the championship. At the end of the intermediate classifications, 8 and 16 hours after the start of the 24-Hour races, 10 to 1 points will be awarded to the first 10.

It will also be the last Bol d’Or at Magny-Cours as the 2015 race will be back on the Paul Ricard circuit. As part of this major change for the 2015 season the 24 Hours for Motorbikes will take place in April.

This year, though, the pinnacle of endurance races worldwide is the event on the Le Mans Bugatti circuit on 20-21 September.

The ticket office is now open. Up to 7th September take advantage of a presale price of 50 instead of 63 euros.
